Giving Back with a Sweet Swap

At WestLake Dental Care, we're more than just a dental practice; we're a part of the community. Our dedication to improving the lives of those around us extends beyond our clinic's doors. This year, we're excited to announce our participation in the Candy for Cans initiative, a program designed to encourage healthy eating habits while supporting our local food banks.

The concept is simple yet impactful. After Halloween, we invite children (and adults!) to bring their unopened, excess candy to our office. For every pound of candy you donate, Westlake Dental will give you a healthy and delicious alternative, plus we'll match your donation with a canned good to be donated to our local food bank.

Why Candy for Cans?

  • Promote Dental Health: Reducing candy consumption helps protect against tooth decay, promoting healthier smiles.
  • Support Our Community: Every can donated goes directly to local food banks, helping those in need.
  • Educate on Nutrition: It's an opportunity to discuss healthy eating habits and the importance of giving back.

I've had excellent care for years. Dr. T is great at explaining everything, making it less stressful, and making sure you feel comfortable. Everyone is friendly and service is prompt. I would recommend Westlake Dental Care to anyone.

Our body is home to trillions of microorganisms (like bacteria, fungi, and viruses) that help keep us healthy. These microorganisms live in different parts of our body, including the mouth and gut, and they work together to help us digest food, strengthen our immune system, and control metabolism (the way our body uses energy).
