Dr. Rachel Kogan

Dr. Kogan was born and raised on Long Island, New York, where she had no choice but to become an avid bagel and pizza appreciator. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Stony Brook University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Neuroscience concentration and a minor in Anthropology. She then went on to receive her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. Leaving her beloved East Coast behind, Dr. Kogan continued to pursue higher education by completing a General Practice Residency at The Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. There, she was able to further develop her skills in advanced dental care as well as perform dental treatment on medically complex individuals. Dr. Kogan’s hospital and emergency experience has greatly shaped her approach in treating her patients comprehensively and providing a more personalized approach to dental medicine. While she thoroughly enjoyed her time in Ohio, she decided to move to Northern Virginia to reunite with extended family and fiancé.

Dr. Kogan is thrilled to be a part of the warm and passionate team at WestLake Dental Care. She believes in the importance of patient-centered care and is committed to involving her patients in all aspects of dental treatment. She values each patient’s unique story and always encourages her patients to ask questions about their treatment. She strives to educate her patients on the importance of dental health, while keeping her patient’s personal goals at the forefront of her vision. Dr. Kogan is very excited to work alongside Dr. T who shares her vision of providing personalized care to every patient who joins the WestLake Dental Family.

Outside of the office, Dr. Kogan enjoys traveling, hiking, painting, and exploring local cuisine. She is also an avid dog lover and welcomes dog pictures and restaurant recommendations. She is looking forward to becoming part of the incredible team at WestLake Dental Care and feels fortunate to see the next chapter of her life unfold in the beautiful state of Virginia.
