Your information
Privacy policy
What this website collects, what it does not, and how to have your details removed. Written to describe what actually happens, so it is shorter and plainer than most.

The short version
We do not sell your information. If you fill in a form here, we use what you wrote to answer you, and that is the whole purpose.
Please do not send medical details through this website. The forms here are ordinary web forms, not a patient portal. Keep health history, diagnoses and anything else you would consider private medical information off them. If we need those details, we will ask you for them at the practice.
What you send us on purpose
Three forms on this site send information to us: the contact form, the Membership Club enrolment form, and the question and callback forms on treatment pages. Each one collects your name, a way to reach you, and whatever you choose to write in the message box.
Formspree, a form handling service, delivers those submissions to the practice inbox. We read them to reply to you and to follow up on what you asked about.
What gets measured while you read
We measure how the site is used so we know which pages help and which ones do not. Two tools do this, and both are set up to report patterns rather than people:
DataFast counts visits and which pages get read. It sets a cookie to tell a returning visit from a new one, and reads which advertisement or search sent you when the link carries that. Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights measure page speed and traffic in aggregate.
There is no Google Analytics on this site, no Meta or Facebook pixel, and no advertising retargeting. If you saw an older version of this policy that described those, it was describing the previous website.
When you book online
The Book buttons hand you to Jarvis, the practice’s scheduling service, on their own website. What you type into that scheduler goes to them and to the practice’s appointment system, not through this site.
We pass one thing across with you: a short label describing where you came from, such as which advertisement or which page you were reading. It carries no name, no phone number and nothing about you, and it exists so the practice can tell which of its own pages are worth keeping.
Having your information removed
You can ask us to remove your details at any time and we will do it. Ask in writing, either by post or by calling the practice and saying you want it in writing:
Westlake Dental Care
46175 Westlake Dr Ste #130
Sterling, VA 20165
(703) 444-5108
Records the practice holds about your dental care are separate from this website and are governed by the rules that apply to medical records. Ask the practice directly about those.
Links to other places
Some pages link to services the practice works with, including financing partners and the online scheduler. Once you follow one of those links you are on their website, under their policy, not this one.
Changes to this policy
If what the site collects changes, this page changes with it, and the review date at the top moves. Related pages: disclaimer and web accessibility.
