What Is a Smile Makeover?

There are many different procedures that can be used in a smile makeover, and the specific procedures that are right for you will depend on your individual needs and goals. Some of the most common procedures used in a smile makeover include teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, dental implants, and gum contouring.

The Smile Makeover Process

Transforming your smile may seem like a daunting task, but the team at WestLake Dental Care is on your side. When it comes to the smile makeover process, here's what you can expect:

At your consultation, we will take photo and a 3D ITero scan so we can properly assess your smile needs.

We will ask you to choose some options regarding what you want your new smile to look like from our LVI styles. Then you will review and approve the designed smile.

Our laboratory will create a wax mock-up of your new smile.

Temporary veneers or crowns are prepared and placed so that you can test drive your new smile and get feedback from loved ones.

Once you approve your new smile, another scan is taken and the lab creates your permanent restorations.

Your completed porcelain restorations are placed and you can leave smiling!

After your smile makeover is complete, we will give you instructions on how to care for your new smile. We may also schedule additional follow-up appointments to check on your progress and make sure you’re happy with your results.

Does Insurance Cover a Smile Makeover?

Since a smile makeover is considered a cosmetic procedure, most insurance plans will not cover the cost. However, some dental procedures involved in a smile makeover, such as placing dental implants, may be covered by insurance. Our team can help you determine if your insurance plan will cover any of the treatments involved in your smile makeover.
